We're psyched to premiere another lovely video from our favorite new Texas band, Austin's Sun June. "Discotheque" is a pensive highlight from the group's debut LP Years, coming soon on Austin label Keeled Scales. The video, directed + edited by Sun June's Laura Colwell and Stephen Salisbury, features dreamy aerial shots of Laura cruising around an unfinished Austin subdivision, past an anonymous office park, hanging at a car wash, etc., interspersed with some old family VHS footage from a less complicated time. The visuals are a perfect complement to the song's calm, familiar beauty and tinge of sadness, and as someone who grew up in a faceless, ever-expanding Texas suburb, the whole thing is just incredibly wistful and nostalgic. Years is out June 15th.
