Bloomington's Hoops share the video for their blissed-out new single "On Top", one of the many highlights from the group's forthcoming debut LP Routines. The gently warped and sweetly inspirational Kevin Krauter-penned jam gets a fitting vintage VHS public access vibe, courtesy of director Jake Huber. Krauter says of the song + the vid:

"I wrote this song about two years ago, and just felt like writing a cheesy feel-good positive song. When Jake proposed his idea for the setting and look of the video, we kind of all just built on that feeling. We worked with the overly positive feel of the song and sort of just took it to the extreme. It was really fun."

Routines is out May 5th on Fat Possum. Hoops have also announced their first headlining North American tour, and we're stoked to present the Dallas + Austin dates, which will be supported by another band we love, Grand Rapids synth-pop duo PARTS:
