Austin band Holy Wave share the new video for "Crys", a dreamily hazy garage-psych nostalgia trip taken from their album Adult Fear, out now on Austin's The Reverberation Appreciation Society and on limited cassette via southern California label Burger Records. The Rachel Kichler-directed video follows young star Georgia Carter -- who should probably play the lead in whatever Linklater is doing next -- as she escapes from her suburban Texas bedroom for a day of aimlessly cruising around on her bike, breaking into the neighbor's pool, and just general, glorious teenage freedom, and it has a sweetly melancholic vibe that perfectly complements the song's wistful, disillusioned sentiment. Holy Wave will play LEVITATION this fall along with Angel Olsen, Deafheaven, Kurt Vile, Emma Ruth Rundle, White Fence, and many more, but first, the group will head out west later this month for a short tour starting with El Paso's Neon Desert Fest.
