Belgium-based minimalist ambient composer Christina Vantzou shares a spectral 16MM short film, soundtracked by Vantzou's beautifully glacial and elegiac "At Dawn," one of the gorgeous highlights from her utterly immersive, trance-inducing forthcoming fourth full-length for Kranky. Shot by cinematographer Thomas Depas in the Ardennes, Belgium, and starring Siet Phorae & Stav Yeini.

According to a press release, Vantzou's intention was to “blur lines of hierarchy” during the recording of the new record, allowing any of her "musical and conceptual" collaborators or technical assistants, including Steve Hauschildt, Angel Deradoorian, and others, to "add or delete elements." This gave the process a feeling of "prepared spontaneity", or in Vantzou's words, “having plenty of ideas as a safety net but with enough time to depart from those ideas and see what happens.” Christina Vantzou's No. 4 is out April 6th on Kranky.
