We're psyched to premiere the Adam Murphy-directed visuals for the beautiful first single from Madeline Kenney's forthcoming debut LP Night Night At The First Landing, out September 1st on Toro y Moi’s Company Records. The record was written, arranged and recorded at home by Kenney + produced by Chaz Bear (fka Bundick), and rousing new song "Rita" is an empowering dream-pop anthem that alternately floats and soars at the whim of Kenney's dynamically lucid vocals and blissfully fuzzed-out guitar ripping. If you don't have goosebumps by that exquisite first vocal intonation, just wait for the chorus. Madeline says about the song:

“The story of the original 'Rita' is kind of dark, but when I started writing the song it morphed into something a little more uplifting. Thematically, the song is kind of a question; mostly wondering at someone else's strength and whether or not I can find that same strength in myself.”
