Jessy Lanza announces new album All The Time, shares video for new single “Face”
When Jessy Lanza's effervescent new single "Lick in Heaven" dropped a couple months back, it gave us hope that her long-awaited third full-length was imminent, and now it's official: Jessy's new LP All The Time is coming this summer on Hyperdub. Check the new single "Face", an irresistibly skittering jam with a light footwork touch, written and produced by Lanza with Jeremy Greenspan, with a video directed by Jessy's friend + regular collaborator, Winston Case:
As an aside, when speaking about the excellent All The Time cover art, Jessy reveals the reassuring bit of information that she loves her mini-van as much as I love mine:
"Through many changing situations my minivan gives me comfort. It seems like such an American thing to say. I realise it’s symbolic of a much larger existential struggle in my own life but regardless I wanted it to be a part of the album cover. Sitting in my van made me feel so comfortable and it’s rare for me to feel that way."
