Let’s try this again: those of you that abstained from listening to that garbage webrip that was floating around everywhere last week, and missed the bootleg video rip that was up for about 10 minutes, your patience has been rewarded: The Knife just dropped the official Marit Östberg-directed video and stream for their massive, sprawling new single “Full of Fire.” Buy the song on iTunes here, and pre-order the Shaking the Habitual triple LP here.

impressive!
I’m disappointed. The song lacks narrative, sonic dynamic or any real pop sensibilities. It’s weird and slightly avant-garde like you would expect from The Knife but frankly pretty boring. The short film that accompanies it doesn’t fare any better. While it hints and some interesting sexual or gender issues in my mind it also fails to captivate my attention. Silent Shout was a phenomenal album and after a wait this long I expected the first single to be at least half as good… I stand corrected.

Sad face. I hope the rest of the material is better. Or they are just hardcore trolling us.
And hopefully there’s going to be a 12″ vinyl release too. I want to have the sleeve! News about that?
