Too bad the sound fucking sucked at The Granada and didn’t do their set justice. That and all the blind bigotry afterwards on the twitter wall showed how open-minded the aging, uncool former hipsters of Dallas really are. If there weren’t a decent local blog promoting the music, where would these fools be on a Saturday night? Drinking themselves under the benches of Lee Harvey’s or Barcadia, no doubt.

Interesting comment. If there is one conclusion I can draw from all of my years of loving music, it’s that the most oppressive environment in music, is a live hip-hop show. Anything and everything can go wrong. From terrible sound quality; to “fans”, who feverishly roam the blog-sphere waiting for the next IT artist to pop up so they can buy a ticket to their show and just stand there with they arms folded and they’re heads half cocked with a bewildered look on their face. Unfortunately, you just gotta understand that just about anybody can buy a ticket to a show these days; people don’t actually do their homework and decipher artists material before going to a live show anymore.

Agreed very much so. I’m admittedly guilty of one or more of those points, and I get that the twitter wall is really an attempt for the audience to silently heckle or otherwise steal the show and get some indie brownie-points (something I am very familiar with having been to several shows at the Granada), but at a certain point, live shows stop being enjoyable for any other reason than to be seen in the scene or say you’ve seen someone live. You’re right, though. It’s something you gotta stomach if you’re in anyway loyal to the music.

Does anyone know where to find the track “Enchantress”? Is it a Theesatisfaction song? And what is the song they’re performing at 3:50? Any help would be much appreciated.
