Unofficial clip for Purity Ring‘s “Lofticries,” featuring footage from a 1974 Swedish film called Thriller: A Cruel Picture. Starring Christina Lindberg, in a role that apparently inspired Uma Thurman’s character in Kill Bill. Immediately Netflix‘ed:

It’s not a great movie, but it does have some style – I prefer the alternate title it was released under, though, “They Call her One Eye.” It’s more ridiculous. And the main character inspired Darryl Hannah’s character in Kill Bill, not Uma Thurman’s. Interesting use of it in this video, though.
Christina Lindberg’s wiki says it was an inspiration for the Uma Thurman character
Wiki is wrong, Chris.
Well, Thriller was a major inspiration for Tarantino when he made Kill Bill. And since I’ve seen Thriller a couple of times, I think it’s safe to say that Christina Lindberg’s character inspired both Daryl Hannah’s and Uma Thurman’s. The eye pad went to Daryl, the character itself to Uma. So, Wiki ain’t wrong.
can’t stop listening to this song
I’m diggin’ the clip – I think it’s pretty rad to see these lost rarities being resurfaced by new collabs (albeit likely against copyright).
Been listening to this over the last few days. Video is awesome.
Track. Of. The. Year.
Video is an excellent complement to the music as well.
