No one cares about your label's video budget in 2015. The music vids that we found most moving and memorable this year were, in most cases, simple (with a few glossy and/or cinematic exceptions), powerful, often self-directed visual interpretations of our favorite songs. Also featuring one brilliant video made of found footage that seems to have been effectively scrubbed from the internet forever.

Do you guys still watch these things? We do, and these are our favorites of 2013, which tended toward the beautifully surreal (FKA Twigs, anything Wareheim did, etc.) and disturbing (FKA Twigs again, 0PN, Miley) this year. Check the list after the jump, tell us what we missed, etc.

We leave you for the weekend with our favorite music videos of 2011: you'll notice that the majority of these videos are of the low-budget, DIY variety, as most of the expensive / cinematic joints that dropped this year felt a little overwrought and, with a couple of notable exceptions, mostly fell flat for us.
