stream new releases from Hamilton Leithauser, Laurel Halo, Laura Marling, Why Bonnie + more
There aren't a ton of notable album releases this week with all of the Covid-related push-backs -- we'll now have to wait until summer for that sweet new Pottery record that was supposed to drop today -- but we did get great new tracks from Charli, Washed Out, Phoebe Bridgers, Westerman, Negative Gemini, Angel Olsen x Johnny Jewel, a mind-warping mix from Oneohtrix Point Never, and more. And there are, in fact, a handful of records dropping today that are worth your time: in addition to the gorgeous, aforementioned MAYBEL record that we debuted right here yesterday, we also get the stellar new LP from Hamilton Leithauser, an atmospheric film score from Laurel Halo, new Laura Marling (much sooner than expected), the lovely new Why Bonnie EP, transportive ambient "deep reggaeton" ASMR vibes from Queens' DJ Python, another psychedelic pop trip from Bill Baird, the somewhat divisive new Strokes record + more. Listen to 'em all, right here:
