Dallas' Sober hits us with yet another stellar, immersive deep house mix for staying warm, lounging, swaying around your cubicle, late-night drives, etc. This one is a true collaborative affair with Gina G, featuring tracks from the likes of Project Pablo, Palms Trax, Morning Factory, Sage, Seb Wildblood, and more...
Dallas's own DJ Sober shares his annual essential Satin Sheets mix, featuring classics from Sade, SWV, Brandy, Hi-Five, Bobby Brown + more. Listen below, and roll through early to his Valentine's Day party tomorrow night at It'll Do before all of the necessary branded party favors are gone:
Gorilla vs. Bear V goes down next week here in TX, and for the fifth year in a row, Dallas' own DJ Sober (who will be DJ'ing between sets all night at both GvsB shows) has hooked up the official mix to get us even more psyched for the occasion. This year's tape — featuring all of the acts playing this year's sold-out shows (Jamie xx, Lower Dens, Tei Shi, Bop English, Yumi Zouma + Prince Innocence), a couple GvsB alums (Panda Bear, Empress of), and a bunch of other stuff we're into at the moment — is arguably the best one yet, and is essentially an hour-long glitter-wavy summer jam. Listen/download below, check the tracklist after the jump, and look for this one to potentially make its way to cassette at some point in the near future...
GvsB IV is just one week away (September 12!), and we can now all get appropriately hyped with this perfect new official GvsB IV mix from our boys, Dallas' own Booty Fade (Sober + Picnic), which we will be listening to on continuous loop until next Friday night. Featuring Panda Bear, SOPHIE, Ejecta, Doss + a lot more. Listen/download below, get your GvsB IV tickets HERE, and check the tracklist after the jump:
Massive thanks to everyone who helped make GvsB III such an unforgettable night:
Danny Brown, Blue Hawaii, HAERTS, Empress Of, Booty Fade, Sober, Dallas, all the homies at the Granada, the Belmont + everyone who came out. We can't wait to do it again next year. All photos shot by Faith Silva + David Bartholow on the Impossible Project's instant film.
