I recently discovered the irresistibly eccentric pop of France's Get Back Guinozzi ! after stumbling upon the group's myspace. The band lists Talking Heads, Can, Tom Tom Club, Jamaican DJs, cheerleaders, and bicycles among their influences, but the two awesome songs on their page sound sort of like an adorable, playful union between Deerhoof, '60s yé-yé, Tropicalia, and maybe some vintage Slits.
