Brooklyn producer / experimental dance-pop musician Lindsey French — aka Negative Gemini — follows up one of our favorite songs of last year with the title track from her forthcoming debut full-length Body Work, out "mid 2016" on 100% Electronica. It's an ethereal, dreamily brooding club track that we imagine would sound even more glorious and hypnotic in the confines of a cavernous warehouse rave, and luckily, we'll be able to find out for sure next week at SXSW:

Negative Gemini will play our official SXSW showcase at Mazda + Hype Machine's Hype Hotel on Thursday, March 17, along with Charli XCX + Sophie, Teklife, Dilly Dally, Stealing Sheep, George Clanton, and DJ sets throughout the night from Kristin Kontrol, Hinds, and Joel Ford. She kicks off the evening's festivities at 8 PM sharp, and if this year is anything like years past, there will be a line, so get there early, and if you're not trying to wait outside and miss part of her set, you can win a #FastPass from Mazda by tweeting “I want to #HypeON with #MazdaSXSW so I can skip the line at #HypeHotel”. They're giving away 5 per show, winners chosen at random through Twitter. Details here. In other Hype Hotel news, they'll also have some cool installations set up at the venue, including the Mazda x La Blogotheque studio, where you can catch more intimate performances + interviews with some of the bands playing the show. #Hypehotel brought to you by Mazda, presenting sponsor of Hype Hotel at SXSW. #MazdaSXSW #HypeON
