Georgia Ellery of brilliant UK duo Jockstrap and Jamie xx have been quarantine lockdown mates, and the two recently hunkered down in Jamie's home basement studio for a couple of days, emerging with a sprawling, 12-minute-long, experimental collaborative piece for BBC Radio's Late Junction sessions. It's a beautiful union of Georgia's exquisite strings and Jamie's distinct production, finessed with additional synths and "improvised bits". Georgia sums it up thusly: "it's quite funereal in places...but it also grooves," while Jamie calls it "a winding journey," adding, "it was very freeing." Listen here, starting at around the 56 minute mark.
