Alaska Reid launches her new Songminer podcast with guests Sadie Dupuis (Speedy Ortiz) + Lauren Mayberry (CHVRCHES)

It's already been established that Alaska Reid is one of our favorite songwriters and storytellers -- look no further than her enthralling and beautiful debut LP Disenchanter to see why -- and you can now add "podcast host" to the list of things at which Alaska excels. On her newly launched Songminer podcast, Alaska aims to go deep with fellow musicians and writers on the art/grind of songwriting; she calls the podcast "a nuanced examination of the in-between, the grit, the magic, the happenstance of writing and inspiration." Alaska's really good at this, approaching each convo with warmth and a genuine, infectious curiosity, and it's always a compelling and enlightening glimpse into an extremely personal (and often nebuluous) process.
