i think it’s pretty standard for people to express their opinions in their own blogs…I mean, I think that’s kind of point. Hate to say it, but reverb would make this much, much better. Bad choice on the vox. Also pretty boring. Guess I don’t ‘get it’. Not that I don’t want to, I just…don’t. BB.
This album is gorgeous.
I respect her decision to let her vocals cut through the ambiance instead of drowning them in delay and reverb. Those effects certainly have their place, but there’s plenty of room to take that dreamy / hazy sound, which seems to be trendy right now, in different directions.
Album of the year contender!? This album is far more captivating and rewarding all the way through than the streaky Kill for Love and the far too safe and reliable Bloom. Still in tough contention with Visions though.
