We’ve heard a couple of brilliant, frustratingly short previews, but here’s the first full jam to emerge from Neon Indian‘s new album Era Extraña, out September 13 on Alan Palomo’s own Static Tongues imprint (via Mom + Pop):

i don’t think i would use the word brilliant when describing this music.
haha oh cool well by the sound of it this album will have fun hanging out in my ‘meh’ folder with the new Washed Out.
I would.
This is advanced.
I really really want to like this especially since I just bought a ticket for Neon Indian and think Psychic Chasms is brilliant but this is a very weak single and I hope the rest of the record isn’t like this.
neon indian and washed out got together and said, “hey, if Moby were young again, but in the 2010+ era what would he make? lets make that sound!”
well… Heart:___ short clips were better and more vintage-style than this track. but I like it too
this song is so sick, his voice sounds way different
This sounds like Com Truise and Washed Out made a song together…
Good. But I need to hear how it sounds in relation to the rest of the album.
what the fuck happened to that cartoon funk from pyschic chasms? oh yeah synth starts to suck after awhile?
This song is awful. When is the blogosphere going to get over the mancrush on Alan?
For those of u whom do not like fallout, clean the wax. This is a very cool song. Remember, Neon Indian is fairly new but has a brilliant future. Sleep paralysist is a master piece and we are waiting for more amazing sounds like that.
