That photo is amazing. Also, great mix.
One good hour to come !
Amazing and Wonderful is the song. Unbelievably good.
oh yeah, nice mix too.
Awesome mix again Chris!
The album artwork never fails to impress!
Clams Casino track is amazing. Great mix!
Street Dog (excerpt) = Street Halo + Stolen Dog mashup OMG OMGOMGOMGOMGOGMOMGOGFMOGMG MY LIFE EXPLODED.
>But in serious, why just an excerpt(besides the obvious reasons like length) :o those songs are magnificent
oops that was supposed to say “stolen dog,” but yeah just did the excerpt for length, mix was getting a little long
I mean no offense when I say this is the best mix you guys have put out in a while! oh yeah the artwork is dope too
what’s the name of the last song?
i mean, after the 17th track…

great mix. tyler the creator is shite tho.
Hey Chris, what software do you use to make these mixtapes?
I like the addition of time stamps to mark the songs. Love what you do, gurl!
Yea thank you so much for the updated Time Stamps!!
Where do you find these images? Incredible. Awesome job.
I hope john maus gets out of hawaii before it goes under the ocean :-(
thanks for adding time stamps.
is that max tundra on the ford & lopatin track?!
Robin Pecknold song makes this mix fuckin legit
Why is the rap BS thrown in the mix with good indie stuff?
There’s nothing good coming from listening to the kind of crap that was included on this mix.
I really beg to differ, David. The Tyler the Creator “French” song w/ Toro y Moi is amazing and the lyrics are pretty inventive, the beat on the next song “Mystery” by Hodgy Beats is fresh and reminds me of some of Madlib’s Beat Konducta stuff and the Shabazz Palaces song is one of the best new songs this year, “Who do you think you are?” If the genre “indie music” is, in your mind, circumscribed solely by a bunch of dudes banging on guitars and pounding on synths, then you really need to open your mind and let go of petty labels….and isn’t that the essence of ‘indie’ music?
Regarding the rap included by Tyler the Creator, etc., they still have much room to grow as artists. They remind me of how I perceived life/music when I was their age, when it was cool to get attention by just saying the craziest, most offensive and weirdly sexual stuff possible. I won’t be surprised if they’re forgotten about once they run out of vaginal synonyms. I’m indeed a fan of Madlib, MF Doom, etc., and at the end of the day, Odd Future’s beats & lyrics are alright, but that’s all. Nothing revolutionary about it, and certainly not pushing the boundaries of hip hop. In my personal opinion, Doseone is the king of that frontier.
All-in-all a great mix, and great photo. Wondering if inspiration was drawn from the Burial aesthetic?:

Honestly -I’m just a guy who really loves music. All forms.
I’ve got no agenda other than trying understand where this appreciation comes from. It just really sticks out on this mix.
I will admit my previous short,off-the-cuff comment on rap was brash. I did not intend to dismiss all ‘rap’ – but what , in my personal opinion -is some really offensive, no-talent lyrics just going for shock value of trying to sink to some new low.
OK so it’s expressing the right to free speech? Wonderful.
It feels like an insult to be served rap like this
and scares me that there are people that can kick back, listen & get enjoyment from something like this particular Tyler,The Creator song. Please, someone tell me how this is not complete ignorant shit. Don’t tell me cas it’s got ‘fresh beats’( I’m suprised Toro Y Moi gave his talents to this & deem it worthy of a mix )
Joseph – I think you feel where I’m coming from & I am also huge fan of Doseone, Themselves and Subtle – innovative, intresting lyrics – and music that falls under the ‘rap’ label.
Again -just an opinion of someone who finally ‘broke’ with this mix and had to ask ‘why?’
omg i love this mix, plus the numbers beside each song (:
Terrific mix. It’s “On Blast”. Shabazz Palaces sends shivers up my spine, sounds like music from another planet. Same with the Toro mix of “French”. David doesn’t like rap? I couldn’t care less.
Get a job you hipster babies and find something more significant to whimper about. Just enjoy the music. GVB is solid.
that d’eon song is the shittt.
thanks for that one for sure.
official vid for that one coming on Monday, directed by Grimes. it’s also the shittt
*Finally* some new Burial. Great mix, again…
This mix is sublime. Thanks GVB!
