Here’s an otherwordly new jam from Claire Boucher, aka Grimes, taken from Dark Bloom, Boucher’s forthcoming split 12″ EP with her Montreal homie d’Eon. The soaring “Vanessa” represents the bolder, slightly more polished version of Grimes’ cosmic “space-station pop” that wowed just about everyone who caught one of her transportive sets at SXSW earlier this month. The Grimes/d’Eon split is out April 19 on Hippos in Tanks / Arbutus; download a track from d’Eon’s side here, and pre-order here.
