I’m hoping that when these singles get mixed for the album that the sound is beefed up a bit, because so far, they’ve been sounding a tad flat. Keeping this in mind, I listen and immediately know that there’s something really special going on with these tunes. Save for Ariel Pink, I’m pretty much bored with everything else I’ve heard this year.
I’m pretty sure that all the 7inches he is releasing is to cover the cost for the mastering and all that other stuff for the tomboy record ….. ya know?

Which makes a lot of sense. Dude lives in Lisbon with a wife and two kids now. Anyone wanting a comfortable living for a family of four is not spending most of their money on studio time. I’m thankful we get to hear his new music at all. It’s why I’m buying all the 7″s. Hopefully some of my $$ contributes to more studio time for Noah which, in turn, will generate more fleshed out tunes.

Awesome! Do you have Drone too? Or is it basically the same as the live versions and not worth tracking down?

Hey Lance….check out Julian Lynch’s album “Mare” which came out earlier this year…..that should at least partially help reignite your love for quality experimental music for the time being. it did for me.

My hopes now rest with Noah.
