The great Analog Africa — the Frankfurt-based label responsible for such previous mind-blowing compilations as Legends of Benin and African Scream Contest, among others — is set to release Afro-Beat Airways: West African Shock Waves, another blazing comp featuring 15 rousing summer jams from 1970s Ghana and Togo, curated by label head Samy Ben Redjeb. As usual with these dudes, the whole thing is essential, but here’s a highlight from De Frank Professionals, taken from the group’s extremely rare mid-’70s LP:

What I way to travel!!
I feel so hip. :-)
I want this now! Been listening to this track and it is perfect for the sweltering heat here in Florida!
This track frickin smokes. Love, love, love African pop music. Makes me wanna shake some booty.
I’ve had the De Frank albums for years now, got them for like $10 each. Once you hipster fucks get your hands on this shit they end up selling for like $400 a copy. Hope some shitty band doesn’t pop up on pitchfork trying to sound like this.
Bones, you are what you hate, fuck you.
These are the most pathetic comments I’ve ever seen.
