Taken from a forthcoming, extremely limited split 7″ to commemorate her New Zealand tour with Pumice, Grouper‘s mournful “Rising Height” is absolutely flooring me right now. A little more formless/droning than Liz Harris‘ relatively structured Dragging a Dead Deer Up a Hill material, but just as devastating.

grouper :: rising height

If you can’t make Grouper’s New Zealand dates, get the Grouper/Pumice split here for $7 before it’s gone.

New, totally official 25-track J Dilla record, entitled Jay Stay Paid, coming in June: mixed and arranged by Pete Rock, executive produced by Ma Dukes, and featuring vocals from Black Thought and MF DOOM.
