What can we say, the Black Lips put on one of the best shows of the year last night at the Loft. The dudes were better than advertised: raw, loud, and raucous as hell, their flower punk laced with unstoppable melodies, and an eerily authentic knack for creating/updating a sound from another era. Highlights included new jams "Katrina," "Cold Hands," and "Bad Kids," as well as everything they played from Los Valientes Del Mondo Nuevo. Love that record so much. Oh, and that was one of the rowdier crowds I've seen in Dallas in years, so good job Dallas.
