Young Ejecta announce new album Ride Lonesome + share defiantly poignant lead single “Crayon Cactus”
Leanne Macomber + Joel Ford share the opening track from the beautiful new Young Ejecta LP Ride Lonesome, coming next month on Driftless Recordings. "Crayon Cactus" is a poignant, ultra-modern breakup song that finds Young Ejecta trying to navigate a romantic relationship through our current dystopian trajectory -- tear-soaked cellphones, driverless cars in control, fucking twitter -- over a glowing, softly pulsing heartbeat that ultimately gives way to a soaring cinematic synth line, as our heroine, defeated and defiant, laments, "Now I have nothing you didn't broker". Listen below via the striking visual by Eric Epstein. Ride Lonesome is out June 26th, pre-order the limited vinyl 12" here.
