Proper Eats is the forthcoming cat-themed "summertime party record" from Portland's We Like Cats, the new dub reggae project from Honey Owens (of Valet and our new faves Miracles Club), Eva Salens (Inca Ore), and Adam Forkner (White Rainbow). The album was inspired by "space cats," "basketball cats," Sister Nancy, Augustus Pablo, the spaced-out sounds of Lee Scratch Perry + King Tubby, and probably kittens. The Proper Eats 12" is due June 15 on Marriage Recs, and comes complete with 4 bonus digital jams. Here's one from the A-side:
