Austin's Julia Lucille shares the new visuals for one of our favorite songs of 2017, the haunting album-opening track from her beautiful album Chthonic. Julia tells us about the Emily Cross-directed video, which was shot in Lockhart, TX:

"Emily Cross created the concept and directed the video for 'Eternally.' (She also engineered my vocals and guitar on the album.) This song is about romantic ambivalence, building up relationships but also fantasizing about them ending, and being caught between your dreams for what a relationship could be and your lack of interest in seeing things through. Emily had the idea to have a veil, which to me perfectly represents those pipe dream, romantic feelings that become too heavy sometimes. I love the image of letting them slip out of your hand into the air.”

Chthonic is out now on Austin label Keeled Scales. Julia Lucille plays at Three Links in Dallas with Big Thief this Saturday night before heading out on a West Coast tour with her Keeled Scales labelmate Moses Nesh next month.
