- Department of Eagles, who played last night at Central Presbyterian Church on the 4 AD showcase with St. Vincent, M Ward, and Anni Rossi.
- Grizzly Bear plays perhaps our most anticipated show of the fest tonight at the church with Girls and the Rural Alberta Advantage.
- Wrens kick off the Hot Freaks proceedings Friday morning at the Mohawk, so we included a jam from their amazing Meadowlands LP.
- Alela Diane also brings her powerful live show to Hot Freaks on Friday, where she'll grace the intimate indoor stage at the Mohawk.
- Dallas' Erykah Badu plays on Saturday night with Beach House (who sounded better than ever at Red 7 yesterday) and Explosions in the Sky at Auditorium Shores, so we chose her amazing J Dilla-produced "Didn't Cha Know."
