The summer-loving dudes at Underwater Peoples Records have a showcase sampler coming out May 28 (inspired in part by Robin Pecknold's tweeting, no less), highlighting many of the promising acts on their label, including Ducktails, Real Estate, and a bunch more you might not be familiar with yet...

Real Estate is Martin Courtney, Etienne Duguay (of Predator Vision), Alex Bleeker, and Matt Mondanile (aka Ducktails). Not unlike Ducktails, Real Estate makes vaguely tropical lo-fi beach pop that reinforces my disdain for winter. A little more straightforward/less droning than Ducktails' stuff, for sure, but just as warm and sunny...
