Bandcamp discovery of the week: Sweeping Promises, a new Boston group making thrilling, urgent post-punk with heavy late '70s / early '80s vibes, elevated to another level by Lira Mondal's powerhouse vocals. The band's raw and infectious debut album Hunger for a Way Out came out last week, and it rips. Sick cover art too.
