stephen malkmus & the jicks: live at the granada theater

Stephen Malkmus & the Jicks rolled through Dallas last night, stopping to play a show at the Granada Theater along the way. In addition to being total NBA obsessives/savants (although I did take 2 bucks from their drummer on a Skip to My Lou bet), the band was in fine form, and treated the crowd to an exceptionally dirty set, highlighted by Malkmus' guitar wizardry and ex-Sleater-Kinney drummer Janet Weiss' propulsive beats and elegant harmonies.
