Hi everyone!

My name’s Ryan, I play music under the name Skylar Spence and I have the great fortune of taking over Gorilla vs. Bear on this fine Friday! And, in a way, it’s good for you too, because I’ve always wanted to have the opportunity to share music I love by people I love! I hope you enjoy the things I put together for this occasion, and I wanted to say thanks to Chris for letting me have this moment, and I hope you walk away with a pocketful of new favorite tunes~

RA MU is a group formed in Japan in the late 1980s, featuring members of the fusion group Prism, and idol singer Momoko Kikuchi on vocals. They only released one album, “THANKS GIVING”, before disbanding due to poor commercial reception. But it’s one of my favorite records of all time, equal parts Prefab Sprout and Carly Rae Jepsen, spellbinding and lovesick. This is a non-LP single but it’s a fitting testament to the pop perfection of this project! SO GOOD! — Skylar Spence
