Miami-raised, LA-based pop duo Magdalena Bay continue to wow us these days with their insanely versatile and unabashedly fun modern pop sensibility and '90s VHS visual aesthetic -- both of which honestly couldn't be any more up our alley -- and today Mica + Matthew hit us with some peak-era TRL vibes (think the Spice Girls, Kylie, Britney, et al.) on their dazzling new single "Only If You Want It", which takes a pretty morbid theme and wraps it up in a sparkly pop banger that we're convinced would have hit #1 on the countdown had it dropped back in '99. The group tells us that the song is a "glittery 90’s pop take on the evolutionary wildcard that is sexual cannibalism, and how it manifests itself in humans (to a lesser extent),” adding, “We love the underlying darkness in this song about overbearingly sweet and destructive love." "Only If You Want It" officially drops tomorrow, but you can check the band's self-directed video below:
