It's been a minute since we heard from Lauren Culjak (formerly Lauren Hillman), aka Kotomi, and today the Los Angeles based composer + electronic pop artist ushers in Spring with her elegant and gloriously dreamy new single. Like all of Kotomi's stellar work, the immaculately produced "Eternal Spring" shimmers and soars, while radiating a familiar, comforting warmth that is both hopeful and tinged with a hazy feeling of melancholy. "This song is driven both by fear and gratitude. Fear of losing a loved one, and that somehow our memories will fade and the lives we've lived will look like a blur," Kotomi says, adding, "And in response to that, being in touch with how very alive we are, and how beautiful life is." Listen below, download the track on bandcamp, and look out for more from Kotomi in the near future.
