You're probably already familiar with Cole M. G. N. from his amazing and criminally underrated former group the Samps, or via his work with Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti, Beck, Julia Holter, and most recently, on that dope-ass new Nite-Funk EP. The genre-defying Los Angeles-based producer is set to drop his debut solo effort under his own name later this month, and lead single "If U Let Me" sounds like a lost classic smooth-funk cassingle that melted to the dashboard of an '87 Cutlass, serendipitously warped by the summer sun and chopped beyond recognition into a warmly familiar, vibrantly glowing neon haze.
