Thanks to Garrison for introducing me to Shuta Hasunuma's beautiful new LP, OK Bamboo. Hasunuma's piano-driven compositions are most commonly compared to the Books and Fennesz, and fans of those two bands will find plenty to appreciate here, as Hasunuma has created an unbelievably warm and organic-sounding digital collage of dreamy glitch-pop, based on his "interest in the ancient relationship between Japan and bamboo." Highly recommended listening for studying/working, or daydreaming to avoid studying/working.
