NV – Binasu

Thanks to Adam for the heads up on Russian experimental pop luminary Kate Shilonosova, aka NV, and her entrancing and addictive new album Binasu. The adventurous, genre-defying record is teeming with otherworldly, '80s Japanese new wave-indebted pop vibes, and with songs like the very kawaii "Kata" and the twinkling title track recalling the bright playfulness of some of Miharu Koshi's more out-there stuff, it's quickly become one of our favorite underground gems of 2016 so far.
