We are extremely psyched to premiere a couple of absolute gems from the long-awaited, soul-piercing new long-player from one of our favorite new bands of the last few years, San Francisco's The Sandwitches. The new record finds former Fresh & Onlys Heidi & Grace at the height of their powers, a perfect marriage of the group's genre-spanning debut and their darker, haunting/heartbreaking Duck Duck Goose EP. Their friend and contemporary Sonny Smith had this to say about the new record:

"Like the sapphire Schethiya, The Sandwitches, the crown jewels of the Archangel Lucifer, fell from Heaven. Is there any question the distinctive singing of Grace Cooper & Heidi Alexander represent mercy & severity? Roxanne Brodeurs’ beats the brazen pillars of the Flesh? Their latest effort is a sanctuary of spiritual illumination crossed with earthly splendor, a hushed witness to the perfect virtue of equilibrium, a flaming sword for the listener to thrust into the coronet of their adversary..."

Mrs. Jones' Cookies is out March 29 on Empty Cellar. Catch the band at SXSW 2011.
