Montreal group Men I Trust's most recent single "Tailwhip" is a perfect song, a stylishly understated indie-dance-pop track with an irresistibly velvety groove, a magical, infectious melody, and poignant, casually profound lyrics that are impossible to shake ("this country dog won't die in the city"). If you asked me today for the best song of 2017, that's the one. So it probably goes without saying that we've been waiting with bated breath to hear what they do next, and today they've followed up that undeniable jam with another killer self-released single, the gorgeous and super dreamy "I hope to be around". In related news, it was just announced that Men I Trust are coming down to TX for SXSW 2018. Don't miss them.
