Lisel x gorilla vs. bear takeover: Michael Gordon – “Acquanetta” and “Van Gogh”

I’ve worked with composer Michael Gordon on a few different projects, I recently did an opera of his called “Acquanetta” — directed by Daniel Fish, the production was very abstract, using imagery and tropes from the 1950s Hollywood horror movie genre to evoke a message about female agency.
