Jens Lekman rolled solo last night at Dallas' own Granada Theater, and while the absence of his entourage of similarly-clad Swedish girls was initially a disappointment, Jens more than made up for it with his endearingly wry banter and witty '60s baroque pop numbers. Armed only with his recently acquired Canadian acoustic guitar, an iPod, and a loop pedal, he admitted upfront that he's "no Andrew Bird or Final Fantasy" with the looping skills, then proceeded to lay down some impressive three and four-part harmonies as a foundation for his Scott Walker-esque crooning. Oh, and he played that Paul Simon cover every one seems to love so much.
