I'm embarrassingly late to recognize the greatness of the new Liars record, Drum's Not Dead, and I'm not afraid to admit it. I wasn't a fan of the band's last record, and I guess Drum's could be considered "difficult", so it's taken repeated listens to absorb the many nuances the Liars have packed into this conceptual masterpiece. I've had the record for a few months now, and let me warn you: when it does finally hit you, it's like a ton of bricks. This track, undoubtedly the most accessible and "normal" from the album, has gotten more play than just about anything else on my ipod lately. It's one of the most emotionally affecting, and for lack of a better word, sweetest, songs I've heard in a long time.
