Helena Deland returns with exquisite new single “Lylz”

It feels like an eternity since Helena Deland released her stellar Altogether Unaccompanied series of songs back in 2018, and after biding her time the last couple of years collaborating with JPEGMAFIA, touring with Weyes Blood, and opening for Iggy Pop, today the Montreal singer-songwriter makes her long-awaited, triumphant return with a soaring new single. "Lylz" is a touching ode to sororal friendship, sparked by lush instrumentation and Deland's vivid and beautifully poignant lyrics. It's a magical, heartwarming song, and it's further evidence that, as the Fader deftly observed in their premiere of the track this morning, "Deland can, it seems, take her music where she pleases." Helena says of "Lylz":
