Shout out to Nikki for the heads up on the hypnotic experimental pop of Andy Santella, aka deer park. His beautifully hazy and mercurial new LP Terra Infirma is out now on New York label Deleted, and according to the bio, the record is split into two distinct halves: "The first sees him crystallize an echoic guitar language out of traditional song forms, while the second works in repetitions and ellisions, electronic and acoustic." While that's 100% accurate, it still feels cohesive and deeply immersive as an intoxicating full-album listening experience, but start with the woozy pop jams -- "Pharmacy" and "Clear Sky Rain" (both featuring Ivy Knight, and the latter with an assist on production from Chanel Beads) -- and go deeper from there. Stream the whole thing below + buy it on bandcamp and/or nina.
