Tanakh is Jesse Poe and an ever-revolving ensemble of musicians from Italy (via Richmond, VA). I was introduced to them by the lovely Lady Byrd, who expressed her love for the band here.

Tanakh's new album, Ardent Fevers, is a gorgeous collection of Neil Young/Tim Buckley-influenced psych pop that recently received a very positive Pitchfork review, which described the band's sound as "stubbornly indefinable." This song, with its sad horns and "front-porch guitars", is as hopeful as it is melancholy, recalling "Beck from his Sea Change period."
