With that incredible Burial LP on repeat around here over the last few days, this was a welcome find. His haunted remix of Bloc Party's "Where is Home?" appears as the B-side on their new, limited-edition (2000 copies) "Flux" clear vinyl 12" single. Best Bloc Party-related thing since 2005. Kele's warped/distorted vocals would've sounded right at home on Untrue. Thanks to Discobelle for the heads up:

We're documented fans of Sergio Hydalgo's Ma Fama sessions, so when he writes to tell us about a new one, we're curious, even when we've never heard of the artist. This time, the artist is Julianna Barwick. The ever-polite Hydalgo tells us via email that Barwick is "an amazing, almost unkown, talented young woman. Imagine Panda Bear in love with choir music..." and based solely on the hypnotic looped vocals on this track, we're inclined to agree. Recommended for fans of Young Prayer and (experimental) children's choirs:
