The Believer Magazine's 2007 Music Issue is on stands now, featuring the stellar "Cue the Bugle Turbulent" CD, compiled with care by Brandon Stosuy of Pitchfork/Stereogum fame. The compilation features Grizzly Bear, The Blow, Deerhunter, Of Montreal, and the not-very-Sufjan-like Sufjan Stevens song that Stereogum posted last week, as well as this gem by Beirut's Zach Condon. I'm not sure if his contribution is a pre-Beirut jam or something new (anyone?), but the electronic flourishes are a good look for Mr. Condon.
