Barrie x Gorilla vs. Bear takeover: Secret Friend

Secret Friend is an experimental dance party that I throw with my friends from POND Mag and my other band, Psymon Spine. For each installment we collaborate with an artist or group of artists to turn whatever venue/club we’re using into an immersive installation, and book musical guests we think will gel well with the visual theme they’ve set (including various side-projects from the Barrie crew).

We tend to keep the line-up and set-times secret until just before the party (and sometimes even during it) to try to avoid the superficiality/expectations that come along with the typical headliner-opener dynamic. Our 1 year anniversary is coming up, and we’re currently working on the first ever Secret Friend music compilation, showcasing talent from friends/members of the SF crew.
