We are of the opinion that no band deserves the live LP treatment more than Austin's White Denim, so we were psyched to hear that Jack White felt the same way, and would be releasing the band's Live at Third Man session on his Third Man imprint. The label says the record "would be at home on a record shelf not only packed with Lee Hazelwood records but also Pharoah Sanders and Amon Duul," which is not only high praise, but also speaks to the band's uncanny knack for eluding classification over their 5 year history. The recording -- which was produced by Jack White himself -- does not disappoint, and can be purchased here. No preview of this one, as we are told that the session was recorded live to tape and pressed straight from tape to acetate, so no digital masters exist. But to give you an idea of what you're in for, here's a live rendition of "Street Joy" that WD played recently for Sirius XMU, as well as the band's blazing/legendary performance on Nigel Godrich's From the Basement:
