video: Preteen Zenith – “Breathe”
Footage of 1970’s 16mm films (Use Your Eyes by Hans Halberstadt and Light Is Many Things by Paul and Glenda Fillinger) compiled by Michael Allen of Project Ion, with music by Preteen Zenith. “It’s little children dreaming in God’s great outdoors and it’s grown-ups who have kept the faith in childhood, seeking inspiration for their work in the things that are all around them.”
In other news, Breathe is being released as a limited-edition colored vinyl 7″ today by Dallas’ own newly re-launched Good Records Recordings. GRR has also pressed a new Polyphonic Spree 7″ and a limited 180g vinyl 12″ of a previously unreleased (on vinyl), 22-minute Tripping Daisy jam called “The Tops Off Our Head,” recorded during the sessions for one of my favorite albums of all time, Jesus Hits Like the Atom Bomb. Each record comes with an array of cool extras, including a “surprise, untitled B-side.” You can grab them and read more about the new Good Records Recordings here.
